Dynamic Analysis of Ball Screw Feed System with the Effects of Excitation Amplitude and Design Parameters

In this paper, a nine degree-of-freedom dynamic model of the ball screw feed system considering contact nonlinearity between balls and raceways is established to analyze vibration characteristics. The position relationship raceway centers for bearings determined by using homogeneous coordinate transformation, then restoring force functions along axial lateral directions are derived. equations solved Newmark method, proposed verified experimental method. Furthermore, effect excitation amplitude on investigated frequency-amplitude curve 3-D frequency spectrum. With increase amplitude, response exits softening, hardening type jump phenomenon. Additionally, effects initial angle, length shaft number loaded in resonance region discussed. results show that paper suitable improving machining accuracy stability system.
